The Merrimack Mitten Tree Drive Receives Outpour of Community Support

Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) is pleased to announce the results of its 2024 Mitten Tree Drive. In total, The Merrimack’s nine branches collected 2,500 new and handmade mittens, gloves, hats and scarves to distribute to local non-profits in need of winter essentials.

“We’re truly grateful for everyone’s donations, especially our talented knitting community,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “Every year, we’re amazed by the results and the generosity for our friends and neighbors in need.”

For every item collected, The Merrimack pledged $2.00 to community food pantries, amounting to $5,000 in donations. However, due to the generosity of its customers and community, The Merrimack made $6,500 in donations to the following food pantries.
