Debra Sturgeon and Toon Devito, MVSB Branch & Business Development Managers, spent a day in October sharing stories and smiles with kids at the Moultonborough Public Library in honor of #NHBanksGiveBack.
During the month of October, MVSB participated in #NHBanksGiveBack, a volunteer celebration organized annually by the NH Bankers Association. MVSB was pleased to join the banking industry in New Hampshire to help celebrate the ongoing support of our local communities through community service and financial support.
#NHBanksGiveBack is a coordinated month of service where NH Bankers Association’s member banks are asked to engage in one or more community service efforts during the month of October.
“New Hampshire’s banks remain deeply committed to strengthening our communities — not just through financial contributions, but through countless hours of volunteer service. This month of giving showcases what has long been a core value of our industry: a steadfast dedication to supporting local nonprofits and civic organizations,” said Kristy Merrill, President/CEO of NH Bankers.
“Community giving is at the heart of who we are at MVSB,” said Marcus Weeks, MVSB President. “Our employees take great pride in rolling up their sleeves and making a difference for the people and organizations that make our communities such special places to live and work. Participating in #NHBanksGiveBack is a wonderful reminder of the collective impact we can have when we all come together to serve.”
Throughout the month, MVSB employees volunteered their time and talents to a variety of local causes and events. Efforts included supporting the Children’s Tractor Pull at the Sandwich Fair, volunteering for the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction, Halloween decorating at Geneva Point Center, participating in Trunk-or-Treat events in Meredith and North Conway, reading to children at the Moultonborough Public Library, cleaning up at the NH Veterans Cemetery Association, providing public financial education presentations, supporting Wolfeboro Friends of Music and the Goodwin Library in Farmington, partnering with NH Jump$tart, collecting socks for Inter-Lakes Interact Club’s annual sock drive, and many more meaningful activities across its communities.
The New Hampshire Bankers Association is a statewide, not-for-profit trade association representing and serving banking institutions in the State of New Hampshire.
