MVSB has purchased $10,000 in tax credits from the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (NHCDFA) to support the Dismas Home of NH. The tax credit funds will assist with remodeling a Rochester facility dedicated to serving justice-involved women with substance use disorder.
The renovations will transform the property to include 14 bedrooms, a commercial kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas, clinical and executive office space, as well as outdoor gardening and recreational space.
“The expansion of Dismas Home in Rochester is a critical step toward supporting women on their journey to recovery and reintegration,” said Cheryll Andrews, Executive Director of Dismas Home. “These improvements will allow us to welcome more women into safe and supportive housing, where they can access the clinical, social, and emotional resources essential for building brighter futures. We are deeply grateful to MVSB for believing in our mission and making this growth possible.”
“MVSB is pleased to collaborate with Dismas Home in addressing the urgent needs of justice-involved women within our state,” said Nicolas Stockman, MVSB Branch and Business Development Manager. “This investment demonstrates MVSB’s commitment to promoting inclusive communities, supporting recovery initiatives, and expanding opportunities for all residents of New Hampshire.”
Dismas Home offers transitional housing, clinical care, and vital social and emotional support, empowering women to thrive within their communities. Go to dismashomenh.org to learn more.
