MVSB is proud to support the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center’s 60th anniversary season with a $10,000 sponsorship, helping to expand access to nature-based activities and education programs in the Lakes Region.
As part of its 60th anniversary, the Science Center hosted its Nature for Everyone Barn Bash event on July 16 that brought together community members and supporters for an evening dedicated to sustaining its mission.
“Celebrating 60 years is an incredible milestone for the Science Center, and we are proud to recognize the community partnerships that make our work possible,” said Iain MacLeod, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center Executive Director. “Support from organizations like MVSB helps ensure that our programs remain accessible and continue to inspire curiosity, connection and care for the natural world.”
2026 also marks a milestone for MVSB, celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Ashland branch.
“Supporting the Science Center during its 60th anniversary year feels especially meaningful as we celebrate 100 years in Ashland,” said Megan Piazza, MVSB Branch & Business Development Manager. “Both milestones reflect a long-standing commitment to this community, and we are proud to help support a place that brings people together through education, conservation and memorable outdoor experiences.”
Guided Squam Lake cruises, Kirkwood Gardens and the Live Animal Exhibit Trail are now open daily at the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness. Visitors can encounter mountain lions, a black bear, river otters, raptors and more while exploring a meandering path enhanced by interactive displays focused on habitats, adaptations and conservation.
