The Merrimack has 49-panel solar array installed at its Hooksett Branch located at 360 Londonderry Turnpike.
Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) recently completed a solar panel installation at its Hooksett branch, marking another step forward in its sustainability efforts. The new 49-panel solar installation is projected to generate approximately 24,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, offsetting about 43% of the Hooksett office’s annual electricity usage.
“This project reflects The Merrimack’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact while managing energy costs,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “It’s part of a larger strategy to operate more responsibly and set an example for the communities it serves.”
The effort is part of a broader initiative by New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB), the shared services organization that supports The Merrimack, to integrate renewable energy solutions across multiple properties throughout the state. In partnership with ReVision Energy, a 100% employee-owned company based out of New England, the team evaluated the property and identified locations best suited for solar panels based on building conditions, sun exposure and long-term financial return.
